...HEAT ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Southeast Indiana, Northeast
Kentucky, Northern Kentucky, Central Ohio, South Central Ohio and
Southwest Ohio.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Internet for more information about the following hazards.

   Heat Advisory.

Scattered storms are expected to develop this afternoon through
tonight, with a few strong to severe storms possible during this
time. The main threat will be damaging winds. Additionally, some of
these storms could produce locally heavy rainfall, with isolated and
localized flooding possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Additional scattered storms are expected Monday morning through
early evening, with a few strong to severe storms possible during the
afternoon. The main threat will be damaging winds. Some of these
storms could also produce locally heavy rainfall, with isolated and
localized flooding possible.

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* HEAT INDEX VALUES...around 100 degrees due to temperatures in
  the lower 90s and dewpoints in the low to mid 70s.

* TIMING...through early this evening.

* IMPACTS...Heat stroke, heat exhaustion and other heat related
  illnesses will be possible, especially if you spend a
  significant amount of time outdoors, or are involved in any
  strenuous outdoor activity. The cumulative impacts of heat on
  the human body can be significant when consecutive days of
  excessive heat occur.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Reduce outdoor activities, especially from mid-morning through
the afternoon. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing and
drink plenty of water. If possible, spend more time in air
conditioned or well ventilated places.

To reduce risk during outdoor work the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location.   Heat stroke
is an emergency, call 911.
