...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Kentucky, southeast
Ohio, and portions of central West Virginia, northern West
Virginia, southern West Virginia and western West Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Internet for more information about the following hazards.

   Flash Flood Watch.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Rounds of showers and storms may lead to at least a localized flash
flood threat Thursday and again this weekend. This is especially true
for areas that receive repetitive storms.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and West
  Virginia, including the following areas, in northeast
  Kentucky, Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and Lawrence KY. In southeast
  Ohio, Athens, Gallia, Jackson OH, Lawrence OH, Meigs, Morgan,
  Perry, Vinton, and Washington. In West Virginia, Barbour,
  Braxton, Cabell, Calhoun, Clay, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison,
  Jackson WV, Kanawha, Lewis, Lincoln, Mason, Pleasants, Putnam,
  Ritchie, Roane, Taylor, Tyler, Upshur, Wayne, Wirt, and Wood.

* Through late tonight

* Showers and some storms will continue today. This combined with
  recent rainfall amounts will increase the threat for flash
  flooding. The potential exists for repetitive showers and
  storms this morning...exacerbating this threat.

* Urban flooding of poor drainage areas as well as creek
  flooding are possible. People residing near creeks should
  monitor the forecast and prepare to take immediate action
  should flooding occur or if a flash flood warning is issued.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
