THIS EVENING FOR BREEZY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE
ENTIRE PANHANDLES...

* WINDS...Southwest 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 11 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Mainly in the 80s.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will have the potential to
  spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* SEVERITY...

  FUELS (ERC)...70th-89th percentile...4 (out of 5).

  WEATHER...Critical...3 (out of 5).

  FIRE ENVIRONMENT...6 (out of 10).

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures will

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Texas and Oklahoma
Panhandles.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Low chance for severe thunderstorms in the southeastern Texas
panhandles this afternoon and evening. All hazards including
tornados, large hail, and damaging winds can occur with these
storms.

Critical fire weather conditions across the whole of the
panhandles from strong winds and low RH. practice fire prevention.

Winds are strongest in the western panhandles and can make travel
difficult.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Critical fire weather conditions across the panhandles for both
Thursday and Friday.

Frost to freezing conditions can occur come Saturday with the
passage of a cold front.
