DISCUSSION...
A conditional risk of severe weather will exist late this morning
and afternoon across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas as
isolated thunderstorms may develop across the region. Thunderstorm
coverage remains uncertain during this time, but any strong to
severe storm may produce large hail and damaging wind gusts. Much
higher thunderstorm and severe weather potential arrives late
tonight across northeast Oklahoma, as a line of storms moves south
out of Kansas. All severe hazards will be possible during the
overnight hours including damaging wind gusts, large hail, and at
least a limited threat of tornadoes. Heavy rainfall is also
possible, with potential for localized flash flooding. Highest
severe potential tonight lies along and northwest of Interstate
44.

SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
Activation of the Regional Spotter Network Likely.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
TUESDAY...Severe Thunderstorm...High Wind...and Heavy Rain Potential.
WEDNESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Thunderstorms will likely be ongoing Tuesday morning across
eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Although storms may be
weakening during the early morning hours, re-intensification is
possible as storms move southward during the late morning and
afternoon. Large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rainfall are the
primary hazards Tuesday afternoon, but a limited tornado threat
may also develop. Storms are expected to move south of the area by
late afternoon with the severe threat ending across the area.

Additional rounds of thunderstorms are possible Tuesday night into
Wednesday, but the severe weather potential will be much lower
during this time. Daily chances of thunderstorms then persist
through the end of the week as additional weather systems
influence the region. At this time, severe weather potential is
expected to remain low for the remainder of the week.
