ONSET...Ongoing. DISCUSSION... A narrow zone of showers and thunderstorms continues across southeast OK. These may last into the late afternoon or evening evening before diminishing completely. Elsewhere, hot and humid conditions are in place. Afternoon heat indices will be in the 90s to low 100s across the area. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. FRIDAY...Dangerous Heat Potential. SATURDAY...No Hazards. SUNDAY TO MONDAY..No Hazards. TUESDAY TO WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Dangerous heat persists into Friday. Afternoon heat indices will reach 95-105F. Heat indices will drop slightly into the weekend, but remain elevated through the forecast period. Winds will become breezy into the weekend, but with no rainfall.
