DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will ramp up into the evening
before slowly diminishing tonight. A few storms may be severe,
with damaging wind and large hail, mainly in southeast OK and to a
lesser degree northwest AR. In these same areas, a few storms
with heavy rain may also occur. Storm activity will clear out
from northwest to southeast tonight. Where clouds clear out,
areas of patchy fog may occur. The most likely location will be in
northeast OK.

Little to no precipitation is expected for the remainder of the
forecast period. As a result temperatures will rise with dangerous
heat potential by Friday. Temperatures will remain very high

* WHERE...Bird Creek near Owasso-Mingo.
* WHEN...From this evening to Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, widespread flooding occurs in Mohawk Park
with access roads flooded near the Oxley Nature Center. Mingo Road
near 66th Street may be flooded. 56th Street North near Mingo Road
becomes impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 16.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late Wednesday evening to a crest of 21.0 feet Friday
morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
morning.

impassable. Some minor flooding of streets in east Skiatook may
occur.
