ONSET...Ongoing. DISCUSSION... Isolated thunderstorm development is possible this afternoon and evening across eastern Oklahoma and into northwest Arkansas. If any thunderstorms develop or move into eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this afternoon and evening, they will have potential to become severe and produce damaging wind gusts and large hail. Additionally, strong southerly winds will continue across much of the area this afternoon, with maximum gusts between 30 and 40 mph. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. MONDAY...Severe Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential. TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential. WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Isolated thunderstorms remain possible through the day Monday, with greater storm coverage expected to arrive late Monday night into Tuesday as a cold front influences the region. The environment will continue to support severe weather during this time with all severe hazards possible. This includes large hail, damaging wind gusts, heavy rainfall, and at least a limited tornado potential. The cold front pushes south of the area by Tuesday evening, putting an end to the severe threat.
