Heat index values from 100 to 105 degrees will continue across
much of eastern Oklahoma and west central Arkansas until around
sunset.
There is a low chance that thunderstorms will move southeast from
Kansas into far northeast Oklahoma and far northwest Arkansas late
tonight as they are weakening.

Hot and breezy conditions are expected through much of the week.
Afternoon heat index values of 100 to 110 degrees are expected
each day with increasing heat impacts. A weak cold front will move
through late Thursday, with thunderstorm chances returning at the
same time. There is a potential for strong to severe storms and
repeated rounds of heavy rain over multiple days starting
