DISCUSSION...
Isolated to widely scattered afternoon storms continue across
parts of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas into early
evening. Gusty winds and brief heavy downpours can be expected
with any storms that develop, with the greater potential over
southeast Oklahoma. Precipitation likely decreases by late
evening.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Isolated to widely scattered afternoon storms are expected again
Friday. Brief heavy downpours and gusty winds remain the primary
threats.

A ridge of high pressure aloft is expected to build over the
region this weekend and persist at least until the middle of next
week. A return to hot and humid weather is forecast, with
advisory level heat and humidity forecast across northeast
Oklahoma and west-central Arkansas.
