the local area this afternoon and move eastward. If any
thunderstorms develop or move into eastern Oklahoma and northwest
Arkansas this afternoon and evening, they will have potential to
become severe and produce damaging wind gusts and large hail.
Additionally, strong southerly winds will continue across much of
the area this afternoon, with maximum gusts between 30 and 40 mph.

MONDAY...Severe Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential.
TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential.
WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Isolated thunderstorms remain possible through the day Monday,
with greater storm coverage expected to arrive Monday night into
Tuesday as a cold front influences the region. The environment
will continue to support severe weather during this time with all
severe hazards possible. This includes large hail, damaging wind
gusts, heavy rainfall, and at least a limited tornado potential.
The cold front pushes south of the area by Tuesday evening,
putting an end to the severe threat. Additional thunderstorm
chances persist through much of the upcoming week, but severe
weather chances are likely to be much lower after Tuesday.
