much of Eastern Oklahoma.

DISCUSSION...
Hot and humid conditions will persist this afternoon, with heat
index values topping out in the upper 90s to near 100. In
addition, isolated thunderstorms may develop during the afternoon,
focused in the higher terrain of southeast Oklahoma and western
Arkansas. Severe weather is not anticipated, and any activity
should diminish with sunset.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Daily chances of showers and thunderstorms will continue much of this
week, with an increase in coverage possible both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Most of the storms should remain over western Arkansas and far eastern
Oklahoma.
