A combination of heat and humidity will result in heat indices from
95 to 102 today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

A combination of heat and humidity will result in heat indices from
95 to 102 on Tuesday and Wednesday.

There is a Marginal Risk, or level 1 out of 5, for severe
thunderstorms producing damaging wind gusts Tuesday afternoon and
early evening, and again Wednesday afternoon and evening. This
potential is mainly for areas near and north of Interstate 70.
Locally heavy rainfall is also possible Wednesday and Thursday,
whichcould lead to localized flash flooding.

An active pattern with periodic strong thunderstorms and locally
heavy rain is possible into the weekend.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
  illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FOR MONDAY JUNE 23...

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has
issued a code ORANGE air quality alert for Monday, including
the greater Pittsburgh region, including Allegheny, Butler,
Beaver, Armstrong, Washington, Westmoreland and Fayette counties.

A code ORANGE air quality alert means that air pollution
concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for
sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, the elderly,
and people suffering from asthma, heart disease, or other lung
diseases. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by
avoiding outdoor exercise or strenuous activity.
