Building heat and humidity will cause temperatures to climb into the
low to mid 90s Sunday through Wednesday with dangerous heat indices
at or exceeding 103 degrees possible.

...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values up to 105.

* WHERE...Beaver, Fayette, Washington, Allegheny, Butler, and
  Westmoreland Counties.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
  extreme heat and high humidity events.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FOR SUNDAY JUNE 22...

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has
issued a code ORANGE air quality alert for Sunday, including
the greater Pittsburgh region, including Allegheny, Butler,
Beaver, Armstrong, Washington, Westmoreland and Fayette counties.

A code ORANGE air quality alert means that air pollution
concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for
sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, the elderly,
and people suffering from asthma, heart disease, or other lung
diseases. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by
avoiding outdoor exercise or strenuous activity.
