A system impacting the region Wednesday through Thursday will bring 2 to 5 inches across the northern counties. Daily mean temperatures are forecast to remain low enough Friday through Monday or Tuesday to potentially impact regional infrastructure, such as frozen pipes, and putting a strain on the energy grid. A potential winter storm will bring some snow accumulation to the area by Saturday night and continue into Sunday night.
