This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for west central Minnesota,
central South Dakota, north central South Dakota and northeast
South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A weak system will bring moisture to the region today into this
evening. Temperatures are falling below freezing behind a cold front
this morning, so when drizzle/rain move into the region we could be
dealing with some ice. Snow becomes more prominent around mid-day
for central South Dakota and spreads east through the
afternoon/evening. Snow accumulations will range from a dusting to 2
to 3 inches. Ice accumulation potential is along and east of a line
from Chamberlain to Aberdeen and ranges from a light glaze of ice to
around a tenth of an inch.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS MORNING TO
4 AM CST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation and patchy blowing snow expected. Total
  snow accumulations up to two inches and ice accumulations around
  one tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Brown, Clark, Day, Marshall, and Spink Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 4 AM CST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Mainly drifting snow
  is expected, but in areas prone to blowing snow, the snow may be
  lofted and briefly reduce visibility. the combination of warm
  temperatures and drifting snow can cause snow to adhere to roads,
  creating icy patches. The hazardous conditions could impact the
  Friday evening commute.
