This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western South
Dakota.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Strong northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts over 45 mph are
expected through this afternoon. Winds will decrease this evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Much cooler air and a wintry mix beginning late Tuesday night will
change over to all snow on Wednesday. Light accumulations are
expected through early Thursday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed today.

AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts over 45 mph.

* WHERE...Much of western South Dakota.

* WHEN...Until 4 PM MST /5 PM CST/ this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Sudden wind gusts can cause drivers to lose control,
  especially in lightweight or high profile vehicles. Strong
  winds can cause blowing dust, reduced visibility, and flying
  debris.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high
profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
