This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western South
Dakota and northeastern Wyoming.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Strong winds are expected over the western South Dakota plains
through this afternoon and into the evening. See NPWUNR for
details. These strong winds, which may gust at time from 60 to
70mph, may cause brief local reductions in visibility where snow
on the ground is available.

The Grassland Fire Danger will be very high to extreme today for
the southwestern to south-central South Dakota plains.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Arctic air will move into the area Thursday and Friday. Minimum
wind chills Thursday morning will be zero to 25 below zero.
Minimum wind chills Friday morning will be as low as 10 below to
35 below zero.
