Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Sioux Falls SD 425 PM CDT Sun May 5 2024 SDZ050-057-058-063-064-068-062130- Gregory-Brule-Aurora-Charles Mix-Douglas-Bon Homme- 425 PM CDT Sun May 5 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of south central South Dakota and southeast South Dakota. .DAY ONE...Tonight Hazardous weather is not expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday Wind gusts up to 45 mph may be possible at times through Monday afternoon. A few showers may develop by mid-day, but are not expected to become severe. By 2 to 3 pm, a line of scattered stronger thunderstorms may begin to develop along an advancing front in south central South Dakota into central Nebraska. These storms may produce a brief risk for quarter size hail and brief wind gusts to 60 mph. Thunderstorms will move towards the James River by 5-6pm. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will again be possible Wednesday. At this time severe storms are not anticipated. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed for a brief window between 2pm and 5pm. $$
