This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of East Arkansas...
the Missouri Bootheel...North Mississippi...and West Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A few strong storms will be possible this afternoon, mainly south
of Interstate 40. The primary hazards will be lightning,
localized gusty winds, and heavy downpours.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

The potential for isolated strong afternoon storms will continue
through the middle of next week. In addition, locally heavy
rainfall will be possible on Tuesday as the remnants of
Subtropical Storm Alberto approach the Mid-south. The greatest
threat for heavy rainfall will be over northeast Mississippi and
west Tennessee.

Hot and humid conditions are expected by the end of the week with
heat indices potentially exceeding 100 degrees.


Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time.
