A Heat Advisory is in effect this afternoon for the central and eastern Panhandles. An Excessive Heat Warning is also in effect for Palo Duro Canyon this afternoon due to the potential for dangerously hot temperatures during the afternoon hours. Heat illnesses may occur given the very hot temperatures. A low risk for severe storms is present across the eastern Panhandles. Large hail and damaging winds would be the primary hazards. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Thunderstorms may be possible each afternoon through the evening across the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles from Thursday through Monday.
