This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Warm, dry, and breezy conditions will result in elevated to critical
fire weather today. A Red Flag Warning is in effect for areas on the
Caprock from 12 PM to 8 PM.

Isolated thunderstorms may develop over portions of the Rolling
Plains late this afternoon into the early evening. If storms develop,
they will be capable of producing hail up to golf ball size.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Warm, dry, and breezy conditions will result in elevated to critical
fire weather Friday. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for a
majority of the region from Friday afternoon through Friday evening.

A strong cold front Friday evening will bring strong winds from
Friday night through early Saturday morning. Sustained wind speeds
could exceed 30 mph. Thunderstorms will also be possible along the
front in the Rolling Plains on Friday night.

A light freeze is possible over the far southwestern Texas Panhandle
and northern South Plains early Saturday morning and again early
Sunday morning.

Chances of thunderstorms will again be possible on Monday.

* Timing...From Friday afternoon through Friday evening.

* Wind...Southwest at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* Humidity...Ranging from 7 to 13 percent.

* Fuels...Dry.

* Impacts...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Outdoor
  burning is discouraged.
