The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Northwestern Brewster County in southwestern Texas...
  Southeastern Jeff Davis County in southwestern Texas...

* Until 1245 AM CDT.

* At 938 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
  the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Alpine, Alpine-Casparis Municipal Airport and Camp Mitre Peak.


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southeast New
Mexico, southwest Texas, and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Thunderstorms are likely this afternoon and evening across the
Guadalupe Mountains and the plains of Southeast New Mexico... with
lower chances across the Upper Trans Pecos and Western Permian Basin.
Some of these storms could become strong with a few becoming severe
with large hail... damaging wind... and locally heavy rain.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Scattered thunderstorms are possible Wednesday mainly over the
higher terrain.


Spotter activation is not anticipated.
