This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Thunderstorms will continue across much of the area through
tonight, with the greatest risk coverage expected to be along and
west of I-35. Some storms could be severe with initial storms
containing a hail and wind threat. Later this evening, damaging winds
will be the main threat as activity shifts south into Central Texas.
Heavy rainfall and localized flooding will be a threat through
tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Thunderstorm chances will continue Monday through Wednesday, but
coverage of storms is expected to be more scattered. The strongest
storms could produce damaging winds. Locally heavy rainfall and
frequent lightning will also be threats.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation may be requested through tonight, especially for
areas near and west of I-35.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for...
  Southern Denton County in north central Texas...
  Tarrant County in north central Texas...
  Western Dallas County in north central Texas...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 348 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported minor flooding
  due to heavy rain across parts of Tarrant and Denton Counties.
  This means some low water crossings in the region are impassable
  or may become impassable shortly. If thunderstorms persist over
  the same area, a flash flood warning may be issued. Up to two
  inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Irving, Grand Prairie,
  Carrollton, Frisco, Denton, Lewisville, Flower Mound, Mansfield,
  Euless, Desoto, Bedford, Grapevine, Cedar Hill, Haltom City, Keller
  and Coppell.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
