This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for North and Central Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected across much of the
region this afternoon through tonight. The best storms chances will
be in the afternoon and evening. Some storms will be severe with
large hail, damaging winds, and perhaps a tornado or two. Locally
heavy rain may also lead to flooding in some areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Additional storms are expected on Thursday, a few of which may be
severe and contain heavy rain.

There is a low chance for thunderstorms Friday and Saturday. Though
storm coverage will be isolated, any storm which develops may become
severe.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is likely area-wide this afternoon and evening.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING THROUGH LATE
THURSDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Texas, including
  the following counties, in north central Texas, Bell, Bosque,
  Collin, Comanche, Cooke, Coryell, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath,
  Falls, Fannin, Freestone, Grayson, Hamilton, Hill, Hood, Hunt,
  Johnson, Kaufman, Lampasas, Limestone, McLennan, Mills, Navarro,
  Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant and Wise. In northeast Texas,
  Anderson, Delta, Henderson, Hopkins, Lamar, Rains and Van Zandt.

* WHEN...From 10 AM CDT this morning through late Thursday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor-drainage and urban areas. Low-water
  crossings may become flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches, with isolated higher
    amounts up to 5 inches.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
