A round of thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening across northeast Texas, southeast Oklahoma, and southwest Arkansas ahead of a cold front. Some storms may be severe with damaging winds and large hail being the main threats. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Periods of locally heavy rainfall may be possible this weekend from Friday evening through Sunday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...
Sabine River Near Mineola affecting Smith and Wood Counties.
For the Sabine River...including Mineola, Hawkins, Gladewater,
Longview, Beckville, Logansport...Minor flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Sabine River near Mineola.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Expect flooding of low river bottoms with
secondary roadways along with picnic and recreational areas
becoming inundated as well. Ranchers should move cattle and
equipment to higher ground.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 14.8 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:15 PM CDT Wednesday was 14.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.1
feet Saturday morning.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
