Severe storms will be possible this evening and tonight, mainly across northwestern North Texas. Large hail, damaging winds and lightning will be the main hazards. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. The severe weather potential will continue into the weekend. All modes of severe weather are possible. Additionally, heavy rain will increase the threat for flash flooding along the Red River Saturday night. The flooding threat will shift into East Texas on Sunday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. $$

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Trinity River at Trinidad.
* WHEN...Until early Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 40.0 feet, Moderate flooding will occur along the
right bank to agricultural fields and the cattle industry.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 39.9 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 33.0 feet.
- Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 40.1
feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below
flood stage early Saturday morning.
