...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM CDT THIS MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY
MORNING...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Louisiana, east
Texas and northeast Texas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Heavy rain will return to the forecast by Sunday, with multiple
disturbances anticipated over the course of the next week. Rainfall
amounts will range between 2-4 inches today, with locally heavier
amounts certainly possible under heavier rainfall rates. A Flood
Watch has been issued until Tuesday morning to account for this heavy
rainfall activity.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

A slight risk for severe weather has been introduced across the
region for Monday, with large hail and damaging winds being the main
threat. Additional severe weather chances towards next weekend can
not be ruled out as well.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL SABINE PARISH...
SOUTHEASTERN NACOGDOCHES...EAST CENTRAL ANGELINA...SAN AUGUSTINE AND
SABINE COUNTIES THROUGH 1215 PM CDT...

At 1140 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles south of Macune, or 16 miles north of Ebenezer, moving east at
60 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Milam, Hemphill, Pineland, Macune, Rosevine, Broaddus, Bronson,
McElroy, Fairmount, Yellowpine, Columbus, and Chinaquapin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 300 PM CDT for
eastern Texas.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...

  Ayish Bayou Near San Augustine affecting Sabine and San Augustine
  Counties.

For the Ayish Bayou...including San Augustine...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement will be issued Monday morning at 1145 AM CDT.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Ayish Bayou near San Augustine.

* WHEN...From Monday morning to Tuesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Lowland flooding of the heavily wooded
  floodplain will continue for the next several days.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 4.5 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late tomorrow morning to a crest of 12.2 feet early tomorrow
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow
    evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

  San Augustine and Shelby. In northeast Texas, Cherokee, Gregg,
  Harrison, Panola, Rusk and Smith.

* WHEN...From 7 AM CDT this morning through Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
