...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northwestern Kerr,
northern Kinney, central Edwards and northwestern Real Counties
through 145 AM CDT...
At 1244 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles southeast of Segovia to 12 miles north
of Alamo Village. Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Rocksprings, Vance, Barksdale, Alamo Village, Devil`s Sinkhole State
Natural Area, and Kickapoo Cavern State Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
south central Texas.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Edwards, Kerr, Kinney, Real and Uvalde.
* WHEN...Until 430 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.
Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1232 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Up to 2
inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Leakey, Camp Wood, Vance, Barksdale, Tuff, Montell, Laguna,
Kerr Wildlife Management Area, Alamo Village, Prade Ranch,
Devil`s Sinkhole State Natural Area and Kickapoo Cavern State

producing flash flooding.
