* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northeastern Bexar County in south central Texas...
Southeastern Comal County in south central Texas...
West Central Guadalupe County in south central Texas...
* Until 500 PM CDT.
* At 150 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
San Antonio, New Braunfels, Schertz, Cibolo, Converse, Universal
City, Live Oak, Selma, Randolph AFB, San Antonio Int Airport,
Kirby, Alamo Heights, Windcrest, Terrell Hills, Bulverde, Garden
Ridge, Shavano Park, Hollywood Park, McQueeney and Olmos Park.
Caution should be used particularly during the afternoon/evening
commute.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe.
* WHEN...Until 400 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become
impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1247 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
San Antonio, New Braunfels, Schertz, Cibolo, Converse,
Universal City, Live Oak, Selma, San Antonio Int Airport,
Randolph AFB, Canyon Lake, Leon Valley, Helotes, Fair Oaks
Ranch, Kirby, Alamo Heights, Windcrest, Terrell Hills,
Bulverde and Garden Ridge.
