...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 630 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
county, Harris.
* WHEN...Until 630 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 330 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause
urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of
rain have fallen in the past hour over areas where 2-4 inches
of rain fell earlier this evening.
- Continued rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bellaire, West University Place, Galena Park, Jacinto City,
Cloverleaf, Greater Fifth Ward, Second Ward, Greater
Eastwood, Near Northside Houston, Channelview, Downtown
Houston, Greater Third Ward, Midtown Houston, Macgregor,
Neartown / Montrose, University Place, Astrodome Area,
Barrett, Crosby and Southside Place.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
