A "Hard Freeze" where temperatures will drop below 28, is expected for most of Deep South Texas except for the southern portions of Cameron and Hidalgo counties. For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind chills as low as 14 expected. * WHERE...All of Deep South Texas. * WHEN...For the Freeze Warning, from 9 PM Sunday to 10 AM CST Monday. For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 3 AM to 8 AM CST Monday. * IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures. Death is possible to unprepared people and pets. An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes. Take steps now to finish protecting cold sensitive plants and crops.
