Coastal Flood Advisory

Coastal Hazard Message
National Weather Service Corpus Christi TX
526 AM CDT Sun Oct 20 2019

...DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS AND MINOR COASTAL FLOODING...

.The combination of greater swell periods and expected swell
heights will contribute to a high risk for dangerous rip currents
through early Monday morning along Gulf-facing beaches of the
Middle Texas Coast. Higher than normal astronomical tides will
result in coastal flooding today along the barrier islands,
including along the adjacent bays and intracoastal waterways, of
the Middle Texas Coast, around the times of high tide. Tide
levels are expected to exceed 2 feet Mean Sea Level, or at least
1 foot of inundation, near the times of high tide. Water is
expected to reach well into the dunes and beach access roads.
