.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Maximum Heat Index values 105 to 109 degrees this afternoon over
the southern Coastal Plains and over the Brush Country.

Isolated thunderstorms over portions over the Victoria Crossroads
this afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Maximum Heat index values of 105 to 109 degrees are expected over
South Texas Thursday and Friday, with Heat Index values near 110
degrees over portions of the southern Coastal Plains.

Isolated thunderstorms over the Coastal Plains Monday.

...MAXIMUM HEAT INDEX VALUES BETWEEN 105 AND 109 DEGREES OVER THE
SOUTHERN COASTAL PLAINS AND OVER THE BRUSH COUNTRY...

The combination of expected temperature and dew point values will
result in maximum Heat Index values between 105 and 109 degrees
inclusive this afternoon over the southern Coastal Plains and
over the Brush Country. Conditions will improve this evening as
temperatures decrease.

Residents with outdoor activities planned are urged to drink
plenty of water, wear light weight and light colored clothing and
take frequent breaks from the heat. Young children and pets
should never be left unattended in vehicles under any
circumstances. This is especially true during warm or hot weather
when car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of
minutes.
