* Until 445 AM CST.

* At 413 AM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located near Port Bolivar,
  or near Galveston Pier 21, moving east at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Gilchrist, Rollover Pass, High Island, Bolivar Peninsula, Crystal
  Beach, Port Bolivar and Pelican Island.

The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a
Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 8 AM this morning to 10 PM
CST this evening.

* EVENT...Sustained winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 40 mph.

* TIMING...From late morning through this evening.

* IMPACT...Loose objects by get blown over. High profile vehicles
  may have some difficulty staying in lane.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drivers of vans...campers...trailers...and other high-profile
vehicles should be alert to the danger of these winds...
especially when driving along east to west oriented roads.

...Gale Watch in Effect for Gulf Coastal Waters...

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Southeast Texas..

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Patchy fog will be found over the waters. Could reducing
visibilites to less than 1 nm in a few spots. Tonight strong cold
front crosses the waters late accompanied by scattered showers and
thunderstorms. Some storms may contain gusty winds.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday
A cold front will move across the coastal waters early Saturday
morning. A strong offshore flow will develop in the wake of the
front and a Small Craft Advisory or Gale Warning will likely be
required. The strong offshore wind may push water away from the
coast and a Low Water Advisory may also be needed Sat night into
Sunday.

Spotter activation will not be needed.
