This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Snow will continue falling across the high country bringing from 4
to 9 inches with locally higher amounts by days end. Snow may
reach valley bottoms, though significant accumulations below 7500
to 8000 feet are expected to be light.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Snow will continue to fall across the mountains and some higher
valleys Monday morning, with showers becoming more scattered
during the afternoon. Total snowfall accumulations of 6 to 12
inches are expected by Monday morning across the mountains
generally above 8,500 ft with light accumulations in the high

The next storm to impact the area is expected to reach the area as
early as Thursday and models indicated showers will linger into
Saturday. Early indications are that this system will favor the
northern and central Colorado mountains.


Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however
spotters are encouraged to report snowfall amounts to the
National Weather Service in Grand Junction.
