* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, high temperatures up to 105 expected
  with up to 108 in southeast Utah. For the Wind Advisory, southwest
  winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...Arches/Grand Flat and Southeast Utah.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until midnight MDT tonight. For the
  Wind Advisory, from 10 AM to 10 PM MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses to occur.
  Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could
  be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hot temperatures will spread across the region today with triple
digit highs covering much of the lower desert valleys. Highs of 103
to 108 across portions of eastern Utah will bring dangerous
conditions to those sensitive to heat and those spending extended
time outdoors. Red Flag Warnings are also in effect for extremely
dry and windy conditions today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

A prolonged period of hot...dry and windy days will bring critical
fire weather conditions to much of eastern Utah and western Colorado
again on Friday and through the weekend...possibly beyond.
Temperatures reaching the triple digits again on Friday in many lower
valley locations will continue to impact those sensitive to heat.
Relief from the hot and windy conditions is not likely to arrive
until the middle of next week when thunderstorm development will be
possible as subtropical moisture arrives from the South.
