This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for eastern West Virginia,
northern and central Virginia, and central and western Maryland
with the exception of Garrett County.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

An isolated severe thunderstorm with damaging winds is possible
this afternoon and evening. The greatest risk of a severe
thunderstorm is near and west of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

Isolated severe thunderstorms with damaging winds and large hail
are possible Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be required Sunday.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN ORANGE...
NORTHEASTERN ALBEMARLE AND SOUTH CENTRAL GREENE COUNTIES...

At 524 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 8 miles east of Free
Union, or 9 miles northeast of Charlottesville, moving southeast at
25 mph.

Gusts of 40 to 50 mph and half inch hail are possible with this
storm.

Locations impacted include...
Hollymead, Gordonsville, Cobham, Barboursville, Stony Point, Advance
Mills and Earlysville.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They can relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Sterling Virginia.
