This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for east central Virginia,
eastern Virginia, north central Virginia and southeast Virginia.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Heat returns to the outlook area late this week through the upcoming
weekend. At this time, Thursday and Friday look to be the hottest
days.

Additionally, chances for showers and storms return to the region
over the upcoming weekend. Strong to severe storms will be possible
each day, with damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall as the main
threats.

* WHAT...Heat index values up to 105 to 109 expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Maryland and east central, eastern,
  north central, and southeast Virginia.

* WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 8 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and moderate to high humidity may cause
  heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
