This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for eastern West Virginia,
northern and central Virginia, and central and western Maryland
with the exception of Garrett County.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

A Wind Advisory is in effect beginning at 10 pm from the spine of
the Appalachians east to the Blue Ridge and Catoctins.

A light accumulation of snow is expected along the spine of the
Appalachians overnight. A few inches may accumulate, especially
above 3,000 feet.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

A Wind Advisory will be in effect through 8 am Sunday from the
spine of the Appalachians east to the Blue Ridge and Catoctins.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time. Please forward
any high wind observations or reports of wind damage to the
National Weather Service via established protocols.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT SUNDAY...

* TIMING...Beginning late this evening across the Appalachians
  and shortly after midnight across the Blue Ridge. The
  strongest wind gusts will be diminishing near sunrise.

* WINDS...Northwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, and power
  lines. Scattered power outages are expected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 45 to 55 mph are expected.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles.
