This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north-central and northeast
Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Light to moderate snow will arrive from the southwest this
evening, resulting in potential for snow-covered roads and
hazardous travel.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday

A significant winter storm will bring heavy snow, including rates
of 1 to 2 inches/hour, and strong winds to the forecast area
through Monday. Sleet, rain, or freezing rain may mix with snow
across central and east-central Wisconsin late Saturday night and
Sunday. Blizzard or near-blizzard conditions will make travel
extremely difficult, especially Sunday afternoon through Monday.

Those with travel plans, including air travel, should monitor the
weather closely and consider making alternative plans. Winter
Storm Warnings have been issued.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM SUNDAY TO 4 PM
CDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 18 and
  24 inches, with locally higher amounts to 30 inches possible. Winds
  gusting as high as 45 mph may result in considerable blowing and
  drifting snow and near blizzard conditions late Sunday into Monday.

* WHERE...Oneida, Vilas, Florence, Forest, Northern Marinette County,
  Northern Oconto County, and Southern Marinette counties.

* WHEN...From 1 AM Sunday to 4 PM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible with
  potential for whiteout conditions. Gusty winds could bring down
  tree branches and cause power outages. The Monday morning commute
  will be impacted.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the
state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

People should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use
extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.
