...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT
FOR NORTHERN WOOD...WESTERN PORTAGE...SOUTHERN LINCOLN...MARATHON AND
SOUTHWESTERN LANGLADE COUNTIES...

At 759 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles north of Dutch Corners to 7 miles southwest of
Council Grounds State Park to 13 miles east of Abbotsford to near
Marshfield to 9 miles east of Shortville, moving southeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Wausau, Stevens Point, Wisconsin Rapids, Antigo, Marshfield, Weston,
Merrill, Rib Mountain, Mosinee and Whiting.

People at Lake Wazeecha should seek safe shelter immediately!

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside
should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from
windows.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north-central and northeast
Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

A significant severe weather outbreak appears increasingly likely
over parts of central, northcentral and northeast Wisconsin this
evening. The primary severe weather threat will be damaging
straight lines winds and large hail. A tornado or two is also
possible, especially earlier in the evening over northcentral
Wisconsin. As the evening progresses the threat will likely
transition to damaging straight lines winds. Localized wind gusts
to 70 mph are possible this evening especially north of highway
29.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

The chance of thunderstorms will continue at times on Saturday
and Saturday night. It is possible that a severe thunderstorm
threat could develop at some point, though determining exactly
when is uncertain.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will likely be needed tonight.
