...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
6 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and
  7 inches.

* WHERE...Marathon, Portage, Wood, Langlade, Lincoln, Menominee,
  Northern Oconto County, Shawano, and Waupaca Counties.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 6 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions will impact the Tuesday evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north-central and northeast
Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Light snow will taper off to freezing drizzle early this morning.
Slippery travel is possible for the morning commute.

Snow will return region-wide early this evening as a strong
clipper system approaches western Wisconsin. The snow could fall
heavy at times late this evening through the overnight hours,
before diminishing late tonight. Snowfall totals by late tonight
of 2 to 7 inches are expected. The heaviest snow is expected over
central WI, where snowfall rates could exceed 1" per hour this
evening into the overnight hours. The snow will impact the evening
commute over central and north-central WI.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Snow will steadily diminish from west to east on Wednesday morning.
Travel could remain difficult during the morning in some areas due
to the heavier snow that occurs overnight.

Wind chills could drop to 10 below to 30 below zero Friday night
into Saturday morning, and again Saturday night into Sunday
morning.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are requested to forward snowfall measurements to the
National Weather Service in Green Bay this week.
