This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north-central and northeast
Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Slippery stretches on roads are possible today due to on and off
light snow. Brief visibility drops to 1 mile are also possible.

Temperatures will become dangerously cold tonight with wind chills
falling to 30 to 45 degrees below zero across the entire region.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Dangerous cold will continue Friday morning through Saturday.
Wind chills of 25 to 45 below zero are expected Friday morning and
Saturday mornings. Daytime highs (actual air temperature) on
Friday will be below zero.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are requested to forward snowfall measurements to the
National Weather Service in Green Bay.

* WHAT...For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind chills
  of 35 to 45 below expected. For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously
  cold wind chills as low as 40 below possible.

* WHERE...Marathon, Portage, Wood, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida, Vilas,
  Florence, and Forest Counties.

* WHEN...For the Extreme Cold Warning, from 9 PM this evening to 1 PM
  CST Friday. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Friday afternoon
  through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 45 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
  Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must go
outside.

To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.
