This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for eastern West Virginia,
northern and central Virginia, and central and western Maryland
with the exception of Garrett County.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect tonight for the
Allegheny Highlands, north-central Maryland, eastern West
Virginia and portions of northern and central Virginia including
the northern and western suburbs of Washington and Baltimore.
Accumulating light snow is expected overnight resulting in
slippery conditions on any untreated surfaces.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

There is an enhanced threat for a winter storm for most areas
Saturday and Saturday night, and a moderate winter storm threat
for the Allegheny Highlands. Wintry precipitation may continue
into Sunday. The primary threat is disruption to travel.

Bitterly cold wind chills are expected Sunday night into Monday
morning. Wind chills may approach 20 below zero over the mountains
late Sunday night and Monday morning.

Gusty winds may cause localized wind damage Sunday afternoon into
Monday.

FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches
  expected.

* WHERE...Fauquier County.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 4 AM EST Friday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions and
  sidewalks. The hazardous conditions could impact the evening
  commute, especially after sunset as temperatures fall below
  freezing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
