1235 PM EST Thu Jan 17 2019

A band of rain and snow is moving across Buchanan and Dickenson
VA counties and southern WV counties with reports of slick spots
on roadways. With the mix of rain and snow falling expect slippery
areas on untreated roads and sidewalks more confined to the
highest elevations and ridge tops. In addition, areas of heavier
falling snow will lead to reduced visibility along with a possible
light coating of snow on the roadway.

Please use extreme caution, especially on bridges, overpasses and
around curves. Allow plenty of stopping distance and avoid
braking suddenly. Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter
weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads.
Slow down and allow extra time when traveling.
