This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southeast New Mexico,
southwest Texas and western Texas.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 9 PM CDT for much of
West Texas. Damaging winds to 75 mph and hail to 3 inches are
possible. A tornado or two cannot be ruled out.
There is a medium risk of severe storms this afternoon and evening,
mainly across the Western Low Rolling Plains, Permian Basin, and
Stockton Plateau. Any severe storms that do develop may be
accompanied by damaging winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado.
Heavy rainfall may also result in flash flooding.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

Panhandles.

Strong to severe storms this afternoon and evening across the
southeast Panhandles. Large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain
will be the primary concerns. An isolated tornado can`t be ruled
out, more so in the southeast corner of the Panhandles.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

Valley. These temperatures could kill sensitive vegetation and
possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday
Freezing temperatures will remain likely Thursday night and Friday
night within the San Luis Valley. These temperatures could kill
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.
Frost is possible across parts of the plains, especially north of
Highway 50, Thursday night and Friday night.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
A few thunderstorms are expected to develop on the Caprock later
this morning before blossoming in coverage this afternoon,
especially off the Caprock. Severe thunderstorms, including some
supercells, are most likely generally east of a line from Denver
City to Plainview to Silverton. In addition to torrential rainfall
and some flooding, a few storms could produce very large hail up to
baseball size, damaging winds to 65 mph, and even a few tornadoes.
Severe storms will end from north to south this evening and
overnight.

This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western
Colorado.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Other than a few lingering rain/snow showers across the higher
terrain, dry weather returns for most today as high pressure
builds in from the west. Clear skies and light winds will set up
ideal radiational cooling conditions tonight. Low temperatures may
threaten to drop below 32 degrees across portions of the US-160
corridor and the central Colorado River Basin. As a result, freeze
watches remain in effect for those areas.
