This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east
central...south central and southeast Colorado.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Isolated to scattered showers and storms will be possible this
afternoon, mainly over and near the mountains. Main hazards will be
outflow winds to 40 mph and frequent cloud to ground lightning.
Stronger storms may be capable of producing locally heavy rainfall
and small hail.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday
Daily scattered showers and storms will continue through mid-week,
generally confined to the higher terrain and adjacent lower areas.
Gusty outflow winds, lightning, some heavy rain, and small hail will
be the main concerns.
Later this week, critical fire weather conditions will be possible
over and near parts of the I-25 corridor, due to increased southwest
winds and dry surface conditions.

Weather conditions that meet reporting criteria for spotters will
be possible over portions of the region.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Colorado, southwest
Colorado, west central Colorado, east central Utah, northeast Utah
and southeast Utah.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Isolated to scattered storms will develop over the mountainous areas
this afternoon into the early evening, with gusty outflow winds the
main concern. Lower elevations should remain dry with above normal
temperatures.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
Moisture will increase Monday through Wednesday with several
disturbances tracking across the north, resulting in increasing
storm coverage, favoring the mountain areas. A pattern change is
possible late week that could result in gustier winds and potential
critical fire weather conditions as well as cooler temperatures.
