...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM FRIDAY TO 3 PM
AKST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 55 below expected.

* WHERE...Yukon Flats, Fairbanks North Star Borough, Central
  Interior, and the Northern Denali Borough.

* WHEN...From 9 PM Friday to 3 PM AKST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 55 below zero
  could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 5 minutes.
  Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very cold temperatures expected in Interior
  valleys Friday warm overnight into Saturday as gusty winds disrupt
  strong temperature inversions. The strongest winds are expected
  Saturday with gusts of 25 to 40 mph possible in Interior Valleys.
  These gusts will not be consistent and may only occasionally reach
  the bottom of some valleys. Dangerous wind chills are expected
  when these gusts do reach valley floors.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
