Kuskokwim Valley West-Kuskokwim Valley East-Kuskokwim Delta Coast

Including the cities of Sleetmute, Toksook Bay, Quinhagak, Aniak,
Kipnuk, Mekoryuk, Kwethluk, Bethel, Kalskag, Akiachak, Crooked
Creek, and Kasigluk

...ICE STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM AKST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Significant icing expected. Ice accumulations around three
  quarters of an inch.

  Blizzard conditions with wind gusts 45 to 55 mph reducing
  visibilities to 1/4 mile or less for coastal communities. Total
  snow accumulations 6 to 12 inches.

* WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta, Kuskokwim Valley, including Bethel,
  Aniak, and Crooked Creek for the Ice Storm.

  Coastal Kuskokwim Delta, including Nunivak and Nelson Islands for
  Blizzard conditions.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM AKST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Surfaces will likely
  become slick and hazardous. Significant ice accumulation may cause
  power outages.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation will remain all snow north and
  west of Bethel. North and west of this line is where the Blizzard
  conditions are ongoing. South and east of this line is where the
  freezing rain and Ice Storm conditions are observed.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

An Ice Storm Warning means significant amounts of ice accumulation
will make travel extremely hazardous. Travel is strongly
discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and
water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Snapped power lines
and falling tree branches are also possible.

Prepare for possible power outages.
