AKST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
  between 6 and 10 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Lower Yukon River, St Lawrence Island, and Yukon Delta
  Coast.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to noon AKST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING TO NOON AKST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected until this (Friday) afternoon,
  then freezing rain expected. Snow begins again late Saturday
  morning. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches. Ice
  accumulations up to a tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as
  40 mph.

* WHERE...Kuskokwim Delta.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to noon AKST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one quarter mile or less due to
  blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A complex weather system will move through
  the region this (Friday) morning into Saturday. Blizzard
  conditions are expected through Friday afternoon, which will then
  be followed by freezing rain. Freezing rain will transition back
  to snow by Saturday morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel very hazardous. If you must travel, have a
winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your
vehicle.

  one inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Point Lay.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM AKST this morning.

* IMPACTS...Travel may be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
  could significantly reduce visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will begin to weaken later this
  morning, allowing for conditions to improve.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only.
