...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM WEDNESDAY TO
4 AM AKDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Water levels rising 6 to 8 feet above the normal high
  tide line.

* WHERE...Western Arctic Coast.

* WHEN...From 4 AM Wednesday to 4 AM AKDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Water levels in Point Hope will rise 6 to 8 feet above
  the normal high tide line beginning Wednesday morning. Peak
  water levels will arrive late Wednesday evening into Thursday
  morning (6 PM to 6 AM) then receed gradually through Thursday
  night/Friday morning. Water levels won`t return to near normal
  until Friday afternoon at the earliest. This rise is being
  caused by west-northwest winds around 25 to 35 mph. At Point
  Lay, flooding is not expected, however significant erosion is
  likely. At Point Hope, significant erosion of the sea wall from
  the north and erosion at the airport is likely. Flooding of the
  airport on the north side is likely. Berms on the south side
  will likely see erosion, but flooding there is not likely.

* WHAT...Water levels rising 4 to 6 feet above the normal high
  tide line.

* WHERE...Northwest Arctic Coast.

* WHEN...From 7 AM Wednesday to 4 AM AKDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Water levels in Wainwright will rise 4 to 6 feet above
  the normal high tide line beginning Wednesday afternoon. Peak
  water levels will arrive late Wednesday night into Thursday
  morning (11 PM to 6 AM) then receed gradually through Thursday
  night/Friday morning. Water levels won`t return to near normal
  until Friday afternoon at the earliest. This rise is being
  caused by west-northwest winds around 25 to 35 mph. Extensive
  erosion of the bluff may occur. Numerous roads may be closed.
  Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some
  critical infrastructure may be inundated.

* WHERE...Northern Arctic Coast.

* WHEN...From 7 AM Wednesday to 4 AM AKDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Water levels in Utqiagvik/Point Barrow will rise 3 to
  4 feet above the normal high tide line beginning Wednesday
  afternoon. Peak water levels will arrive late Wednesday night
  into Thursday morning (1 AM to 5 AM) then receed gradually
  through Thursday night. Water levels won`t return to near normal
  until Friday. This rise is being caused by west- northwest winds
  around 25 to 35 mph. Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying
  property including homes, businesses, and some critical
  infrastructure will be inundated. Significant shoreline erosion
  will occur.

...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS
EVENING TO 4 AM AKDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Water levels rising 6 to 8 feet above the normal high
  tide line.

* WHERE...Kivalina and Red Dog Dock.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 4 AM AKDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Water levels as high as 8 feet can produce coastal
  flooding and significant erosion, especially on the north end of
  Kivalina. West-southwest winds on Wednesday, then northwest on
  Thursday, sustained around 25 to 40 mph have been known to cause
  damage and coastal flooding in the Village of Kivalina in the
  past. The school and the tank farms in Kivalina are currently at
  risk of being impacted due to coastal flooding. Water will
  likely rise above the level of the seawall and many buildings
  and streets will flood. The Native Store, Friends Church, and
  the water pump station will be inundated. McQueen School and
  Alaska Village Electric may flood. Few roads will be left
  passable in anything other than a boat.

* WHAT...Water levels rising 7 to 10 feet above the normal high
  tide line.

* WHERE...Baldwin Peninsula.

* WHEN...From 4 AM Wednesday to 4 AM AKDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Coastal flooding is likely to occur with water levels
  as high as 10 feet above the normal high tide line. This will
  likely surpass last October`s flooding event. The highest water
  levels are expected to be from Wednesday afternoon through
  Thursday afternoon (4 PM to 4 PM). The winds will initially come
  from from the southwest Tuesday evening through Thursday
  morning, then shift northwest and weaken through Friday morning.
  The sewage lagoon is at risk of flooding, the Post Office,
  Nulagvik Hotel, as well as various restaurants and markets are
  susceptible to coastal flooding. The area near the Teacher
  Housing will be inundated. Water will approach houses and tents
  at the North Tent City fish camp. Coastal flooding in the city
  is possible if water levels reach 9 feet above the normal high
  tide line.

  water levels are expected to be from Wednesday afternoon through
  Thursday afternoon (4 PM to 4 PM). The winds will initially come
  from from the west-southwest Tuesday evening through Thursday
  morning, then shift northwest and weaken through Friday morning.
  At Deering, numerous roads may be closed or impassible,
  including the road to the airport. Low lying property including
  homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure will be
  inundated. Some shoreline erosion will occur.

...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM AKDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Water levels rising 4 to 7 feet above the normal high
  tide line in Nome, 6 to 9 feet in Golovin.

* WHERE...Southern Seward Peninsula Coast.

* WHEN...Until 7 AM AKDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Water levels up to 7 feet above the normal high tide
  line may put waves over the Nome-Council Road between mile 23
  and 24. The road may flood or wash out or become impassable,
  but usually that happens with higher water levels. The Belmont
  Subdivision area in Nome will begin to flood once water levels
  reach 5 to 6 feet. West Beach of Nome will see coastal flooding
  when the heights reach 6 feet. Debris from wave runup is
  expected to impact Front Street. Water may cut off access
  between the tarmac and airport terminal. In Golovin, coastal
  flooding may affect many residences, the school, power plant,
  tank farm, store and clinic. The highest water levels will be
  over the course of several high tides ranging from Wednesday
  morning through Thursday morning. Winds will be from the west-
  southwest throughout the event.

* WHAT...Water levels rising 2 to 5 feet above the normal high
  tide line.

* WHERE...St Lawrence Island.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 10 AM AKDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Water levels up to 5 feet above the normal high tide
  line may impact the dump and bring water towards Gambell on the
  west side. This will also threaten the FAA equipment, runway,
  and the community boat storage. Significant erosion is likely
  to occur as well. Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying
  property including homes, businesses, and some critical
  infrastructure will be inundated. Some shoreline erosion will
  occur.

* WHAT...Water levels rising 5 to 7 feet above the normal high
  tide line.

* WHERE...Yukon Delta Coast.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM AKDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Water levels up to 7 feet will likely inundate most,
  if not all of Nunam Iqua. Water will back up in the river at
  Kotlik and flooding will occur around houses in low-lying areas.
  Scammon Bay will be impacted as water in the Kun River backs up
  and floods the west end of the runway and adjacent low lying
  areas. Hooper Bay fuel storage may be inundated and the road to
  the airport may be partially submerged. Water is likely to reach
  into the village. Flooding is possible upstream on the Yukon
  River to Mountain Village with significant flooding at Emmonak
  and Alakanuk possible. Water may also back up the Ninglikfak
  River bringing high water to Chevak. Numerous roads may be
  closed. Low lying property including homes, businesses, and some
  critical infrastructure will be inundated. Some shoreline
  erosion will occur.

AFTERNOON TO 4 PM AKDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Water levels rising 5 to 8 feet above the normal high
  tide line.

* WHERE...Shishmaref.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 4 PM AKDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Shishmaref will have several high tides to go through
  between Wednesday and Thursday. Water levels initially rise from
  the lagoon side on Wednesday, the winds shift northwest on
  Thursday leading to water approaching from the north. The
  highest water is expected Wednesday afternoon. Significant
  shoreline erosion will occur. The airstrip will likely be
  closed. The sanitation road may washout. Water will inundate
  many buildings on the inlet side of town including the clinic,
  library, and water treatment plant. Wave run-up from the coast
  will inundate buildings near the sewage lagoon. At Diomede,
  large waves and wave runup will cause erosion and may wash items
  away. Numerous roads may be closed. Low lying property
  including homes, businesses, and some critical infrastructure
  will be inundated.
